Skills

Creativity

I have several years of experience with browsing the internet (dank) which has helped me develop a sense of creativity for my job.

Public speaking

I am not the best for public speaking even though I've given many talks in conferences around Europe. I like to do the work in the background and don't really want to get too much attention.

Teamwork

Being part of many open source projects and a contributor for a long time, I believe teamwork is a skill I own already and helps me in every aspect of life.

Event Organization

Three years of event organization, working pretty much on deadlines and under constant pressure, solving last minute issues to achieve a successful event.

Design Tools

I have worked with both proprietary and FOSS over the years, but lately the tools I use are only FOSS, such as GIMP, Inkscape, Scribus, Krita etc.

UI/UX Design

I have worked on several projects by designing UI and UX workflows, with both FOSS and proprietary tools.

Web Development

I'm quite skilled with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (so many frameworks). The websites I create and work with tend to be really lightweight and fast (weighing under 1/2 MB) by using static components and generators. Privacy is one of my main points and I try to implement everything locally to lower the dependencies on 3rd party actors, also usable under high security settings with Tor.

Languages

My native language is Albanian. I am a near-native English speaker, Italian is my 3rd language (I love to speak it, also near-native) and also Spanish (thanks soap operas, though not at an advanced level yet).

Outside Interests

  • Listening to music (deep house, chillstep, dubstep, electronic, tropical etc.)
  • Photography (casual)
  • Travelling
  • Biking (love to bike around the city)
